IGCSE PROGRAM

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an English language based examination similar to GCSE and is recognized in the United Kingdom as being equivalent to the GCSE. Students normally begin studying the syllabus at the beginning of Year 10 and take the test at the end of Year 11. Cambridge IGCSE exams are conducted in the months of May and October. As of January 2021, there are over 70 subjects available for IGCSE.

The IGCSE curriculum has various different types of assessments for a single subject. The IGCSE core curriculum is suitable for students who expect to achieve grades C to G.  An extended curriculum offers more challenging content for students aiming for grades A* to C.

 Many universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and several other countries recognise the certificate. In the absence of a local degree, diploma or certificate, the IGCSE results are taken into account to offer university placement.
